How shoe size converter works
Every shoe sizing system is a slightly different ruler over the same foot. This converter anchors everything on foot length — the one measurement that survives across brands — using the standard published formulas: US men's size is 3 × foot length in inches − 22, the women's US scale runs the same ruler one size up (− 21), UK sizes sit one below US men's and two below US women's, and the European Paris-point system sizes 1.5 × (foot length in cm + 2 cm toe allowance).
Enter a size in any of the six combinations (US/UK/EU × men/women) and the tool inverts that system's formula to recover the foot length, then applies the other systems' formulas forward. The result shows the estimated foot length in centimetres and inches plus all six target sizes, so a US men's 9 reads out as roughly a 26.2 cm foot, UK 8, EU 42.4 and US women's 10.
The output is deliberately framed as estimates: brands offset their lasts by half a size or more in every direction, and the men's-to-women's offset is quoted as both 1 and 1.5 sizes by different makers. The numbers here match the widely published conversion charts, which is exactly what a cross-brand shopping trip needs — a starting point to confirm against each brand's own size chart when the purchase matters.
